In this post I'll be doing an overview of the resort and I'll explain how to get there in different ways.

How to get there
By train
The nearest train station is Maihama station, in the JR KEIYO line and the JR MUSASHINO line. This station is about 15 minutes from Tokyo Station.From Shinjuku:
Take the JR CHUO line Rapid train (the trains have an orange line) to Tokyo Station and then transfer to the JR KEIYO or JR MUSASHINO line. You won't need to step out of the ticket gates but, from the JR Yamanote and JR Chuo line platforms it'll take you about 15 minutes or more to get to the KEIYO line platforms. Follow the signs and the people that surely will surround you wearing all kinds of Disney merchandise.

There are many ways to go by bus from many different stations. In my opinion, this is not the most efficient way to go since it depends too much in the state of the traffic of Tokyo and Chiba but here's a link to the different stops and schedules.Stops and Schedules

Access within the Resort
By the Tokyo Disney Resort line
This is the route map for the monorail that goes around the resort. It only goes one day. Once yoou get to Maihama station you can be at the Resort Gateway station in a couple of minutes. There you can buy the tickets for the train. You can also use your Suica.
It consists of 4 stops: Resort Gateway Station, Tokyo Disneyland Station, Bayside Station and Tokyo DisneySea Station,
Fares
There are 3 types of tickets that you can get.
Single ticket
(valid for only one trip) - Adults 260 yen / Children (11 and under) 130 yen
Day passes
Day passes allow you to take as many trips as you need or want in 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. One fun thing about the day passes is that they have designs that match the event going on at the parks at the moment so you can keep it as a souvenir!
1-Day pass - Adults 650 yen / Children 330 yen
2-Day pass - Adults 800 yen / Children 400 yen
3-Day pass - Adults 1,100 yen / Children 550 yen
4-Day pass - Adults 1,400 yen / Children 700 yen
Coupon tickets (11 ticket set)
It's a special ticket book with 11 single tickets for the price of 10. It expires 3 months from purchase date.
Adults 2,600 yen / Children 1,300 yen
Operating hours
The train departs every 4 to 13 minutes.

Tokyo Disneyland Station

By bus
There's a bus that goes from the Ambassador Hotel to each park and other buses that take you from the Official Hotels to Bayside Station. These are free buses that operate from 6:10 am to 11:30 pm.
